About Me
Hi there! I’m Cammie Hardouin (pronounced 'KA-mee / 'HARD-win). I’ve got a ton of library experience in cataloging, customer service, and acquisitions. I’ve worked at places like American Film Institute, Los Angeles Public Library, Loyola Marymount University, Long Beach City College, Pepperdine University, and St. John’s Seminary.
In my paraprofessional roles, I’ve implemented new technologies, documented procedures, provided reference services, conducted library instruction, and led small teams and working groups. Recently, I co-chaired the Minnesota Library Association student roundtable. Right now, I’m interning at Hennepin County Vital Records.
I’m looking for a spring 2025 Independent Study for my final semester in the University of Iowa’s online Master of Library Information Science program. I’m interested in researching library trends, teaching technology, service leadership, and surveying the landscape for equitable programs both for library staff and historically marginalized library patrons.
